Solid PTFE Construction and Temperature Guidance

These funnels are made from solid PTFE and offer excellent chemical, mechanical and heat resistance. The existing product guidance states continuous use from -270°C to 250°C. This stated range applies to the funnel specification; confirm suitability for your actual chemical, temperature and complete assembly before use. PTFE funnels are durable and valued for their non-stick properties.

Choosing a PTFE Buchner Funnel

Check the funnel's internal diameter, height, capacity, outlet fit and the filter medium required by your method. Internal diameter alone does not establish the correct filter-paper size. For vacuum filtration, confirm that the funnel, receiving vessel, seals and connections are all suitable for the intended vacuum conditions; PTFE material properties do not establish an assembly pressure rating.

Assess chemical compatibility at the intended concentration, temperature and exposure time. Inspect surfaces and connections, and use a cleaning procedure suited to your sample and contamination requirements.
